 Application Procedure for Master's Degree and Ph. D.



Note 1Admission test is usually held at 9:00 am on the third Wednesday in June every year (please confirm the exact test date with the teacher who is in charge of the admission test. E-mail: yeewen@shnu.edu.cn  or  iccs@shnu.edu.cn  .  Tel: 0086-21-64322824).
The tuition fee (RMB cash) can be paid after students arrive at school. 
The application fee and test fee may be paid when students come to take part in the admission test in late June. If students transfer the application fee and the test fee from the bank, please fax the remittance slip or money order to 0086-21-64321654, or scan and email it to iccs@shnu.edu.cn so that we can check the money in the bank with the temittance slip or money order you provide.
Note 2Master's Degree Program and Ph. D. Program usually start classes in September every year. Visa Application Form (JW 202 Form) and Acceptance Letter are usually issued to qualified students in July. Students will receive the Acceptance Letter and Visa Application Form  2-3 weeks after SHNU posts them through the post office.
Note 3With the Visa Application Form (JW 202 Form), Acceptance Letter, Health Certificate (issued by the registered hospital specified by China embassy or consulates in the student's home country) , passport, photos, etc. , students apply for Student Visa (X1 Visa) to China embassy or consulates in the student's home country.
Since different countries may have different requirements for visa, so please ask help from China embassy or consulates in your own country.
Note 4Students may go directly to the hotel (dormitory) to check in one week earlier before the registration date. The hotel (dormitory) has already got your reservation information from ICCS before you check in. Total room fee for one semester (about 120 days) as well as the key deposit RMB 300 must be paid when checking in at the hotel.

After checking in at the hotel (dormitory), on the scheduled registration date specified by ICCS of SHNU, students are required to come to register at ICCS of SHNU with their passport, Visa Application Form (JW 202 Form), Acceptance Letter, insurance policy, Health Certificate, 8 photos and tuition fee etc. Students who can not register on time shoud apply to ICCS, otherwise, their registration qualification will  be cancelled.

Note 5Students must confirm the result of the medical check-up to apply for the residence permit according to the required dates of the semester schedule.
