Earn Cash Back for Shopping!

Hey guys and happy Monday! To start the week off I thought I would share a new app/website that I have been using a lot this month called Ebates. If you’re a big online shopper like myself then you should definitely consider signing up. Ebates helps you earn cash back on purchases made through their website. They have thousands of stores like Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, Nike, Target, Wal-Mart, Academy, Nordstrom, etc. To be honest I’m normally kind of skeptical when it comes to things like this, but I was pretty surprised with how easy the whole process was.

All you have to do is login to their website, find the store you want to purchase from, click on it and it will re-direct you to that store’s website. From there you can shop just as you normally would and once your purchase has been confirmed you’ll earn cash back. Each store offers a different percentage of cash back, and some even have in-store offers. Plus Ebates has a variety of online and in store coupon codes, so it’s kind of like a one stop shop!

You’ll also earn $10 just for signing up and making your first purchase.

And once you’re ready to cash out it’s super simple. You can either send yourself a check with your earnings, transfer your money to a PayPal account, or use your earnings to buy gift cards.

Click here, or the picture below if you’re interested in signing up! 🙂

Ebates Coupons and Cash Back

TIP: After signing up I highly recommend that you download the Cash Back Button to your browser. This will alert you anytime you go to make a purchase and may have forgotten to stop by Ebates first to earn your cash back!

You Are A Badass

Hey guys, this year is quickly coming to an end and I think we can all agree it’s been a bit of a tough one. Before it’s over I wanted to share something that I’ve recently discovered that has changed my life for the better! I’ve never been much of a bookworm, but it has been a personal goal of mine to start reading more, so my husband Nathan introduced me to this wonderful little site called Audible (I’m sure you’ve heard of it). They have hundreds of thousands of audiobooks, you’re bound to find something you like. The great thing about audiobooks is how you have the option of listening to it basically anywhere. I’ve downloaded the app as well as to my iTunes account, so I can listen to my audiobooks in the morning while getting dressed, around the house while I’m cleaning, or my favorite in the car when I’m on my way to work or stuck in traffic. It makes getting through books so much quicker and enjoyable, especially if you can find one narrated by the actual author of the book. One of my personal favorites so far has been You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero. You Are a Badass is a self-help/personal development book that shares awesome tips for improving your life and creating one you love. The author shares witty quotes, hilarious stories, inspiring messages and daily exercises to help you be the best you you can be! If you’re interested you can click the link below and start a 30 day trial with Audible, and you’ll get your first 2 books for free! Make sure to comment below if you have any audiobooks you would recommend.

Tahoe Born Hair Products Review

Fresh, natural, and unique are the three words that come to mind when I think of Tahoe Born Brand. Hairdresser and cosmetic chemist Nicholaus Augustine has taken hair and skin care products to the next level. Each product is versatile and contains organic ingredients to keep your hair healthy and easy to manage. Below you’ll find a review of some of the products I’ve tried so far.

Calypso Sea Salt + Dry Shampoo:

Talk about volume! I’ve tried many sea salt sprays in the past and most just leave my hair dry and sticky, but Calypso does just the opposite. It smells so fresh and truly gives that “just left the beach” feel. My favorite way to use this product is on damp hair. Just a few sprits and then i’ll scrunch it with my hands to give it some volume and wave.

Calypso Sea Salt Texture Cream & Cleansing Cream:

These two have the same fresh scent as the Sea Salt + Dry Shampoo and help give my hair some texture and volume. Pair it with the Sea Salt + Dry Shampoo for the perfect hair cocktail.

Ylang, Shea, Coconut Smoothing Cleanser and Smoothing Oil:

These two products are great for helping me tame this frizz from all this Texas humidity. It helps smooth my hair and prevents me from needing to straighten it some days.

Sunday Morning Rebalance Cleanser:

The Sunday Morning Cleanser is a definite fave! Normally I’m not a fan of 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioners because they leave my hair feeling dry and super tangled… but not this one! The Sunday Morning Cleanser is perfect for stripping all of the dry shampoo and other hair products left over from a couple days before. It is a tad bit watery compared to most shampoo’s and conditioners, but I don’t mind it. My favorite time to use it is actually on Monday morning’s when I’m running late. Having only one product to wash & rinse saves me a lot of time and it has a citrusy smell to it that’s perfect for waking you up and getting your day started!  I’ve never used a 2 in 1 that makes my hair feel so clean, refreshed, and soft!

Silk Hydrate Hair + Skin Serum:

Talk about obsessed! I’ve already gone through half of my bottle and I’ve had it less than a month. This product is extremely versatile and can be used on wet or dry hair to help smooth hair, or apply it your skin to help tighten and moisturize. It smells so amazing and unlike anything I’ve ever smelt before. The serum starts off really silky and then dries quickly without feeling sticky or heavy. My favorite time to use it is when I get out of the shower when my skin feels the most dry, or on the ends of my hair while it’s still damp.

For more information on Tahoe Born Brand and their products, make sure you visit their website. You can even create your own profile page and add products your most interested in to your wish list. ColourPop Lippie Stix | Review & Swatches

Say hello to my new obsession! I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about the brand ColourPop lately so I decided to give them a try and they did not disappoint. These Lippie Stix are so amazing and for such a great price of only $5! They have an incredibly large selection of colors online and it took me quite a while to choose. I bought four to start with and decided to get two matte finishes and two satin finishes. The satin finishes are just slightly more moisturizing, which is to be expected. They are both extremely long wearing and super pigmented. I love that they don’t dry out your lips like a lot of long wearing lip products tend to do. I can’t wait to order more, and try out their blushes and eyeshadows next. If you’ve tried any of their products before please leave me a comment letting me know some of your faves!

Fetch – Mid tone Pink in a satin finish, great for spring!
Cookie – Nude/Beige in a matte finish, and the easiest to apply.
Frida – Mid tone Nude/Pink in a satin finish, and my personal favorite 😉
LBB – Plum/Wine in a matte finish, created by the blogger LittleBlackBoots.

My 5 Favorite Fall Drugstore Lipsticks – Under $10

One thing I love about the fall and winter months is the bold lip trend. I’ve picked my 5 favorite drugstore lipsticks that I have been wearing non-stop this fall! Below you’ll see swatches and a mini review on each lipstick. Make sure to comment below letting me know what your favorite drugstore lipsticks are 🙂 X Muah!

fall, lipstick, swatches, makeup, revlon, nyx, maybelline, milani, wet n wild, beauty

First up is Cabaret Blend by Milani. This is a deep red-berry color with a cream/satin finish. It’s the most moisturizing formula out of the 5 shown, but also the most difficult to apply because it’s so pigmented. I definitely recommend lining your lips before applying this lipstick.

Now for one of my absolute faves… Alabama by NYX. This is from their Matte collection and what I love most is the velvety formula. It’s everything I want in a matte lipstick; easy to apply, long wearing, and doesn’t dry out my lips. It truly feels like velvet on my lips and they are super pigmented as well. For only $6 I honestly could not ask for more!

Next is Touch of Spice by Maybelline. This one is the newest to my collection and I’ve worn it everyday since I purchased it. This long wearing lipstick is from their Color Sensational Creamy Mattes collection. I love the mauvey-brown color of this lipstick and it’s the creamiest matte formula I have ever used. I’m definitely going to have to go back and get more colors!

The second to last lipstick is Natural by NYX. This is also from their Matte collection and although it’s named Natural it’s much more of a Mauve color and has more pink in it, so it’s great for the day time when you don’t want to go too dark/bold.

Lastly is Bare It All by Wet n’ Wild. This is from their Mega Last Lip Color collection and for under $3 it’s a pretty good lipstick! I love the brownish-nude color of this one, and although you have to apply a few coats/layers, it’s pretty long wearing for the price! I would say this lipstick is in between a matte & cream finish.

There you have it! Happy fall y’all, and don’t forget to let me know what your favorite fall lipsticks are in the comments! 🙂

Dry Shampoo Review & Comparison

Hey everyone! Lately I’ve been really into dry shampoos and with so many options out there I figured I would pick a few of the most popular, try them out and give a break down of each product. Usually I can’t go a day without washing my hair, and having thick medium-long hair takes forever to wash, brush, blow dry and style. I know it’s not all that healthy for your hair to wash it everyday, so when I heard all the hype about dry shampoos I just had to give them a try. I’ve used 5 different dry shampoos within the past couple of months, and have given each one a fair trial. Each bottle was pretty in-expensive, around $4-$8 which is part of the reason why I’ve tried so many!

If you’re not familiar with Dry Shampoos they are basically a product used for days when you don’t want to wash your hair and you need a refresher. They help absorb oils and give life to limp, weighed down hair. They are also good to use on clean freshly washed hair for adding texture and a bit of volume, or even to use if you’re curling or styling your hair! I applied all of them the same way, by parting my hair in different sections, holding the bottle about 8 inches away and doing a quick spray. I would spray all over, parting my hair in different spots about 5 or 6 times and then I would use my finger tips and massage it into my scalp, just like you would when you wash your hair in the shower. I used each product on 1 day old hair and also on clean hair, just to see how long it would hold up before looking a total mess.

The first product I tried was the TRESemmé Fresh Start, let’s just say that this product almost made me hate dry shampoos from the get go. It was absolutely horrible and only made my hair look worse, almost wet…ew not cute! The spray itself was clear and the smell wasn’t horrible, but it did nothing to help absorb oils and make my hair look/feel cleaner.

The next two I tried were by Batiste. This is probably one of the most talked about dry shampoos on YouTube & by other beauty bloggers. At first I was obsessed and now that I’ve tried others, it’s not my favorite. I will say that this product did a great job at absorbing oils and making my hair feel more refreshed, although the smell is very strong and over powered my perfumes and body sprays. The Original has almost like a deodorant smell to it or like baby powder, and the Blonde bottle smells kind of like vanilla which wasn’t horrible, but still not a fan. They both left a very noticeable color on my scalp, the Original bottle leaves a white/chalky residue and the Blonde bottle left my scalp looking yellow. It was so bad, I would have to use a wash cloth and rub it in spots on my scalp to take away some of the color left behind. This was the most expensive out of all the products listed above, but I did not feel was worth it.

Finally we’re getting somewhere! I’ve always been a fan of Dove and Pantene’s styling products so when I saw these two I had to get both! Let’s start with Dove. This one smells really good and did a great job at making my hair look cleaner, and gave me a ton of volume to my hair which I loved and was not expecting. It does leave a slight white/chalky look to your hair, but not near as much as the Batiste Original. This product gives a mattefying feel to the hair, and if you spray too much it can leave your hair very dry and hard to brush. This was defintely one of my favorites, but because of the mattefier I felt as though I couldn’t go as long before feeling the need to wash my hair.

And lastly my new favorite the Pantene Pro V. This smells so amazing! If you’re a fan of the scent of their hairsprays then you’ll love this one! It’s very light and weightless as it claims on the bottle. This one is colorless so it won’t leave any nasty residue behind, but be careful not to over spray it’s easy to get carried away! This one made my hair look and feel so much cleaner and didn’t feel like I had a ton of product in my hair, like the Dove dry shampoo did but I still find myself going back and forth between the two.

I hope this post helped you in some way! Please leave a comment if you’ve tried any of these or have used any Dry Shampoos that you love that I haven’t mentioned. I always like hearing other bloggers favorites and suggestions 🙂

New Product Review | Glam Glow PowerMud Dual Cleanse Treatment

If there is a new face mask out there, you better believe I’m gonna try it! Glam Glow started out with their YouthMud mask and over the past couple years they’ve expanded their collection with the SuperMud, ThirstyMud, and also an eye treatment called BrightMud. The newest is their PowerMud Dual Cleanse Mud to Oil Treatment (what a mouth full). I recently stopped by Sephora to get a sample size, because if you’re like me I hate spending tons of money on products if I’m not sure they’re going to work for my skin or not. If you’re not familiar with Glam Glow, I would highly suggest checking out their website for in depth descriptions of each individual mask/treatment.

So the PowerMud uses an Oilixer, Claytox, Pureifier, and Teaoxi Velvet Leaf for a deep, yet gentle cleansing of the skin. This mask is great for getting deep down into your pores and cleaning out excess makeup and oils that your regular daily face wash leaves behind.

Like most Glam Glow products, you can use them all over your face or just as a spot treatment. Apply a thin layer and let dry for about 10 minutes, it will start to become hard/tight feeling like most masks and then rinse with warm water. When you rinse, it transforms into an oil treatment which tones and nourishes your skin. If you’ve ever used a Clarisonic brush, I would say that it’s a less intense version of that. It’s main purpose is to help remove weekly buildup, so if you’re looking for a product to help drastically change the overall appearance of your skin I would suggest trying the SuperMud Clearing Treatment one instead, which is designed more for clearing blemishes, acne scars, black and whiteheads, sun damage, pore size, etc.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, I would rate this product a solid 6. Personally I did not see a huge difference in my skin, although I did see a difference in the overall texture of my skin. It helped calm some of my acne, while leaving my face extremely smooth and refreshed. I definitely recommend you try out all of the Glam Glow treatments, because everyone’s skin reacts differently to products. Try stopping by Sephora and asking for a couple sample sizes of which ever ones you’re more interested in, or you can purchase Glam Glow’s Sample Sexy which includes 4 sample sizes of the YouthMud, SuperMud, ThirstyMud, and BrightMud. Yes, sadly all of them except the newest one, but for $11.99 it’s a good start to see which works best for you!

Please leave a comment if you’ve tried any of the Glam Glow products, I’d love to know how they worked for you. Also let me know of any other face masks that you’re loving! 🙂
